Dr. Matthew Lew, MD
I have often yearned for the early days of practice that my father, a family physician, describes as one with more time to sit and talk to patients not only about their medical ailments, but also converse about their lives and family. He believes family medicine should be about a provider-patient relationship that reaches far beyond the office, and one that allows for caring for the patient as a whole.
I love getting to know people. It's what makes each day exciting for me. Being a physician is a unique way to offer service and help this wonderful community I was also born and raised in. As an MDVIP-affiliated primary care physician, I can develop a partnership with my patient that not only focuses on one's acute health, but also work on preventative strategies to keep healthy for many years to come. My practice offers many services that include comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests that go far beyond the normal annual physical exam. I also offer same- or next-day follow up appointments with minimal waiting. I look forward to making each office visit one of enlightenment, motivation and excitement as we work toward your goals as a team. I am here to advocate for your health in whatever capacity is needed.

I've got great ears. I love to listen. I am fascinated by the individuality and uniqueness of each of my patients. I feel this uniqueness demands individualized care and health goals in line with the most recent evidence-based practice. I want to partner with my patients to support them as they pursue achieving their health goals.
I'm very curious. I work hard to help my patients address problems, puzzling through symptoms or concerns and discussing approaches for care. I believe that listening and conversing, even when problems are difficult, can help give us some sense of power. I believe it is my job to support you with resources, including behavioral health techniques, medications, and referrals when medically appropriate.
I am tenacious and have great perseverance. I have had the privilege of caring for some patients I first met when I started practicing primary care medicine in this community in 1993. I have found a welcoming community in La Canada, La Crescenta and the other cities that I serve along the 210 Freeway. I love my role of supporting my patients and their families so they can work toward remaining energetically involved with business, community, family and friends.

Dr. Nicole Cheung, DO
Being a physician is about more than helping patients when illness arises. It is about building genuine partnerships with my patients. I believe that medicine isn't one-sided; rather, it is a team effort built on empathy, trust and respect for patient autonomy. I strive to make every patient feel heard and supported. I want to help my patients feel empowered to take an active role in their health while knowing that I will help them every step of the way.
I am a board-certified family medicine doctor located in the Glendale/La Canada Flintridge region of Los Angeles, CA, and I also serve surrounding areas, such as Pasadena. As an MDVIP-affiliated primary care physician, I have special interests in preventive health, women’s health and other areas of internal medicine, such as diabetes and hypertension.
My practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. I also offer conveniences, like same- or next-day appointments.
I am experienced with and offer osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) as clinically appropriate, which can help enhance health and stimulate the body’s natural healing and immune responses.
